The FAR RAC 172 is a hydro pneumatic rivet tool ideal for setting high performance rivets with ø 6mm or 6.4mm and grooved nail

The FAR RAC172 has a improved cycle time - over other tooling - due to having a shorter stroke specific to structual fastener.

The riveting air tool is able to provide a force of 22725N and a stroke of 19,5 mm. Which gives the possibility to fix rivets such as TAMP AP, FARBOLT, MONOBOLT or other similar high performance rivets.

The FAR RAC172 rivet tool sets monobolt and tamp AP rivets in all materials from 6.0mm - 6.4 mm (1/4") Monobolts and Tamp AP. This versatile Air Riveter also sets 7.8mm in Standard Aluminium Rivets with head part number 72000191.

FAR RAC172 Air Rivet Tool

Thanks to the maximum conversion of applied force (22.725N), the RAC172 riveting tool can set the new TAMP AP high-performance rivets and other fasteners withmandrel diameter from 4.4 mm to 5.3 mm, including commercially available rivets.

In addition, unlike alternative tools designed for use with high-performance rivets, the RAC 172 by FAR can recover the sheared mandrel tail once the rivet has been set.
